Overview
Shield attaches to the Tempest lid and stays there.
It contours to the surface so it can only travel one direction. Slide it down and it locks over the recess. A notch sits under your thumb, so one motion opens it and one motion closes it. No hinge, no clasp, no second piece to set down and lose.
Closed, the recess is sealed. Nothing spills out. Nothing gets in. Drop Tempest in a pocket, a bag, or a glovebox and it arrives the way it left.
The magnetic hold is strong enough to survive a fall and light enough to move with a thumb. Tempest still comes apart the way it always did.
Four finishes, matched to Tempest. Abyss, Radiance, Mercury, Glimmer. Every Shield fits every Tempest, so mismatch on purpose.

DESIGN & MATERIAL
Magnetic stainless steel, finished in the same four colorways as Tempest. One piece, no hardware, nothing to wear loose. The curve is cut to the lid, which is what keeps it tracking straight instead of twisting off. Weight was kept low on purpose. Shield should change what Tempest can do, not how it feels in the hand.

CLEANING & CARE
The outside stays clean on its own. Wipe it with a soft cloth when it needs it.
The underside is the part that sees use. Slide Shield off the lid, wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol on a cloth or a cotton swab, and let it dry fully before reattaching. How often is up to you and how you use it.
Avoid abrasives and scouring pads. The powder coat is durable, not indestructible.

Is Shield included with Tempest?
No. Shield is sold separately and works with every Tempest.
What is it made of?
Magnetic stainless steel. One piece.
How does it attach?
Magnetically, to the lid of Tempest. It stays attached whether it is open or closed, so there is never a loose part to pocket separately.
Does it interfere with how Tempest comes apart?
No. Shield rides on the lid. The two halves separate the same as always.
Does it get hot?
No. It stays cool to the touch in normal use.
Will it stay on in a bag?
Yes. The hold is rated well past what a pocket or a bag will do to it. It is designed to be carried.
Does the finish have to match my Tempest?
No. All four fit every Tempest. Match it or don't.
How often does it need cleaning?
The outside almost never gets dirty. The underside is up to you and how you use it. Wipe it down when it earns it.
How long will it last?
Kept clean, as long as your Tempest does. Possibly longer than you do.
